Condition: Good-Antique; wood stock has mostly moderate wear & patina w/ a few dings in either side; forend has significant wear & patina w/ some splitting on left side; barrel, magazine tube & receiver have a mostly plum brown patina w/ moderate wear & light scattered pitting; some bluing remains in protected areas; bore has some brightness but has scattered pitting; strong rifling remains; mechanically very good; smooth action
Includes: Letter from Cody Firearms Museum shipping it on November 01, 1877, to an unlisted address as part of Order 7366.; factory heavy octagon barrel; factory set trigger
Notes: A special order heavy barrel is one of the rarest special order features for the 1873, possibly only being 1 for every 1,100 1873 rifles produced.

Provenance: Property from the collection of the late Marshall E. Kuykendall, of the former 101 Ranch in Hays County.
