Condition: Fair-antique; wood stock has some splitting repairs covered by a brass plate on the underside of the forend; dsome repaired splits around the lock plate; barrel & lockplate have plum brown patina w/ scattered rust & pitting; bore is dark & pitted w/ worn rifling; mechanically functional
Includes: half-stock; wooden ramrod w/ brass casing on the tip; very heavy octagon barrel; brass fittings & patch box; set trigger
Marked: lock plate reads "JOSE GOLCHER"; the barrel reads "WK STRONG"
Note from owner: Half stock percussion rifle. Identifier on gun

Provenance: Property from the personal estate collection of iconic Texas businessman, civic leader and philanthropist Billy Joe Red McCombs (1927-2023) from his home in Olmos Park, Texas; previously on long-term loan to either San Antonio Academy or the Bexar County Courthouse; this lot is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity as property from the McCombs personal estate
