Condition: Fair-antique; stock has moderate wear w/ some splitting on either side; repaired break at the wrist; lock does not stay back; brown patina & rust throughout barrel & lockplate; bore is rusted w/ worn rifling
Includes: full-length stock; heavy octagon barrel; buckhorn rear sights; ramrod; set trigger
Marked: " *W*W*" on the barrel flat
Note from owner: Kentucky full stock percussion rifle, with M and M on the barrel. A superb example of the later style of Pennsylvania long-rifle, unidentified as to exact maker, most likely of Lancaster County, Penn.

Provenance: Property from the personal estate collection of iconic Texas businessman, civic leader and philanthropist Billy Joe Red McCombs (1927-2023) from his home in Olmos Park, Texas; previously on long-term loan to either San Antonio Academy or the Bexar County Courthouse; this lot is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity as property from the McCombs personal estate
