Condition: Good-antique; wood stock ha swear & patrina commensurate w/ age; some rerpaired splits/breaks around the lockplate; barrel has deep brown patina w/ scattered pitting; lockplate has gray/brown patina w/ deep pitting; brass & German silver fittings have patina commensurate w/ age; bore is dark & pitted w/ good rifling; mechanically functional
Includes: very heavy octagon barrel; German silver inlay mountings w/ light & crude scrollwork; brass patch box & fittings; set triggers; tang peep sight; wooden ramrod
Marked: lockplate markings are illegible due to pitting; top of barrel has "T" mark

Provenance: Property from the personal estate collection of iconic Texas businessman, civic leader and philanthropist Billy Joe Red McCombs (1927-2023) from his home in Olmos Park, Texas; previously on long-term loan to either San Antonio Academy or the Bexar County Courthouse; this lot is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity as property from the McCombs personal estate
