Jimmy Dyer, who earned a Bachelor of Arts in Art cum laude from the University of Dallas, is known for his vibrant, light-filled plein-air oil paintings that capture the effects of sunlight and the magic of nature. Drawing inspiration from landscapes across New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona, as well as international scenes from Europe, South America, and the Caribbean, Dyer focuses on colorful, dynamic compositions often featuring indigenous peoples and varied landscapes. His work, celebrated for its integrity and energy, has been exhibited at venues including the Gilcrease Museum, the National Museum of Wildlife Art, and the Albuquerque Museum, and featured in Western Art Digest and Southwestern Profile magazines.
