Includes: saddle bar & ring w/ leather tassel; M1879 buckhron rear ramp sight ("C" stamped); deep cut forend grooves for better grip; Model 1873 original rifle w/ Model 1884 upgrades
Marked: lockplate reads "eagle crest "U.S. / SPRINGFIELD"; serial number on top of the receiver beind the breech w/ star stamp to follow (indicating arsenal rebuilt); top of breech reads "U.S. / MODEL / 1884"; carving on right side of forend appears to read "GR. ANFORTH PARSONS JENKINS BREVET SGT. U.S. ARMY. 7TH. CAV."; buttplate tang marked "U.S."; barrel proofs; right side of stock marked w/ an arrow running through an "R"
