Marked: lockplate reads "RICHMOND / 1811" behind the hammer; many parts marked w/ "LL" or "00" inspector markings
Note from owner: Virginia manufactory conversion percussion musket, confederate. Virginia Manufcatory musket. This manufacturer made arms for the state of Virginia since the earliest days of the 19th century. During the early days of the Civil War, Many were converted to percussion and hastily issued to Virginia troops.
