Marked: lockplate has eagle mark and "US / SPRINGFIELD"; breech reads "US / MODEL / 1884"; barrel reads "V / P" / egale head / "P" and "A" on op of barrel; receiver marked w/ seriual number bbehind the breech; left side of stock marked w/ "SWP / 1891" cartouche; stock has a "9" in fronty of the buttplate tang; buttplate tang marked "US / 35"; "M" stamp behind the trigger guard tang
