Condition: Good-antique; wood stock has mostly light-moderate wear w/ some repaired splits at the forend and some splitting around the plate screws; barrel has faded brass finish w/ wear & patinal lockplate is brown w/ pitting; bore is dark w/ pitting; mechanically functional
Includes: striped maple half-stock w/ brass fittings; patch box has engraved American Eagle w/ shield & spear; very heavy brass coated barrel w/ buckhron rear sights; ramrod
Marked: lockplate reads "LONDON / WARRANTED"; left side of barrel is marked "H.J.H."

Provenance: Property from the personal estate collection of iconic Texas businessman, civic leader and philanthropist Billy Joe Red McCombs (1927-2023) from his home in Olmos Park, Texas; previously on long-term loan to either San Antonio Academy or the Bexar County Courthouse; this lot is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity as property from the McCombs personal estate
