Condition: Very good-antique; wood stock has definitley been sanded & restained; barrels have brown hue patina w/ some light pitting; lockplates & trigger guard have gray patina w/ light pitting; bores are dark w/ some pitting; mechanically functional
Includes: Damascus twist barrels; nice walnut straight grip stock w/ checkering; light scroll engraving
Marked: lockplates both marked "CHARLES WEBLEY"; serial numbers on each barrel underside and the underside of the stock as well; bottom of barrels marked w/ English proofs; barrel rib reads "LONDON"
Note from owner:  English double barreled percussion shotgun. "Popular Equalizer" on the western frontier

Provenance: Property from the personal estate collection of iconic Texas businessman, civic leader and philanthropist Billy Joe Red McCombs (1927-2023) from his home in Olmos Park, Texas; previously on long-term loan to either San Antonio Academy or the Bexar County Courthouse; this lot is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity as property from the McCombs personal estate
