Condition: Good; wood stock & forend have moderate wear w/ some splitting near the buttplate and the lower receiver tang; barrel has gray/brown patina w/ some dull blue finish remaining; receiver is a moostly grya/brown patina w/ scattered rust & light pitting; bore is fogged w/ some pitting; good rifling remains; mechanically good
Includes: leather cuff; right side ofd stock carved with a bull & rider; left side has carved nude figure
Provenance: Property from the personal estate collection of iconic Texas businessman, civic leader and philanthropist Billy Joe Red McCombs (1927-2023) from his home in Olmos Park, Texas; previously on long-term loan to either San Antonio Academy or the Bexar County Courthouse; this lot is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity as property from the McCombs personal estate
