Includes: saddle ring; adjustable rear ramp sight; leather scabbard (marked: A.F. HILL / PINE RIDGE" and "8061 / 20"
Marked: stock is marked "131" on the left wrist & in front of the buttplate tang; "D1" on left side; hard to read mark on right side "3 R C" (maybe)
Note from owner:  A. Remington .50 caliber rolling-block cavalry carbine (regimentally marked) in its saddle scabbard. Stocked is stamped "131" and "D1." Reputedly used by Levi Chubbuck of the Dept. of the Interior before the turn-of-the-century in the Dakotas, Montana, and Wyoming. (NO documentation to confirm this)

Provenance: Property from the personal estate collection of iconic Texas businessman, civic leader and philanthropist Billy Joe Red McCombs (1927-2023) from his home in Olmos Park, Texas; previously on long-term loan to either San Antonio Academy or the Bexar County Courthouse; this lot is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity as property from the McCombs personal estate
