Condition: Good; wood stock & forend have light wear & handling marks; barrel retains nice bluing w/ some wear around the edges & some gray/brown patina in some spots; receiver is gray/brown w/ light rusting; bore is mostly good & bright w/ strong rifling; mechanically good
Includes: extensive carvin & pearl inlay on the stock & forend featuring; octagon barrel w/ full length magazine tube; receiver has tapped holes drilled on left side
Marked: two-line Marlin patent on barrel

Provenance: Property from the personal estate collection of iconic Texas businessman, civic leader and philanthropist Billy Joe Red McCombs (1927-2023) from his home in Olmos Park, Texas; previously on long-term loan to either San Antonio Academy or the Bexar County Courthouse; this lot is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity as property from the McCombs personal estate
