Condition: Good-antique; bone grips have yellowed & shrunk slightly, some wear along the edges; finish is faded & turning gray, light oxidation & sporadic very light pitting; cylinder drag marks with very light fouling in chambers; bore has light frosting throughout, otherwise good with strong rifling
Notes: black powder frame; mechanical timing is off, does not have four distinct clicks, slight wobble in cylinder lock-up
Provenance: Property from the personal estate collection of iconic Texas businessman, civic leader and philanthropist Billy Joe "Red" McCombs (1927-2023) from his home in Olmos Park, Texas; previously on long-term loan to either San Antonio Academy or the Bexar County Courthouse; this lot is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity as property from the McCombs personal estate
