Paul Kethley is a painter and illustrator known for his realistic and expressive depictions of the American West, focusing on landscapes, cowboys, Native Americans, wildlife, and fly-fishing scenes that often tell a story. His formal training began at age 11 with private art lessons from college instructor Jacqueline Adams, who later included him in her college drawing classes. After earning a degree in Marketing in 1974 and working in sales for 15 years, Kethley turned to painting full time in 1989, establishing his studio in Evergreen, Colorado. Now based in Buena Vista, he continues to paint, teach workshops across the Southwest, and explore themes of human connection to nature, history, and faith.
