Kathy Kills Thunder (Washington Sioux, b. 1947), "Razzle Dazzle Bison", 2016, acrylic on canvas, not framed size: 20 x 20 in., stretched canvas Kathleen Kills Thunder, a Sioux Indian whose family was from the Fort Peck Indian Reservation in Northeast Montana, was born in 1947 in Seattle, Washington. Her father, Ben Kills Thunder, was Sioux while her mother was of Spanish and Irish descent. Kathy grew up painting and beading, and uses a bright color palette and prodigious imagination in creating her artwork. Kathy currently lives in southeast Arizona and raises buffalo when she is not pursuing her artistic endeavors.
