Gary Niblett, born and raised in Carlsbad, New Mexico, is an oil painter known for his western scenes featuring Navajo and Pueblo Indians, cowboys, and frontier life. After studying at the Art Center School of Design in California, he worked for Hanna-Barbera as an animation artist before fully dedicating himself to Western art in 1973. Niblett has exhibited internationally and earned numerous accolades, including membership in the Cowboy Artists of America. His works are featured in various collections, including the New Mexico state capitol.
