His work largely focuses on American Indian life, Western landscapes, cowboy scenes, and still lifes, often inspired by Western literature and natural beauty. Bodelson has exhibited widely across the United States, including at the Art League of New York (where he received a special award for painting), the Gilcrease Museum, the Autry Museum, the Albuquerque Museum, the Cheyenne Frontier Days Museum, and the Eiteljorg Museum’s Quest for the West show. His work is included in many private and corporate collections and has been featured in major publications such as The New York Times and Southwest Art.
