Taylor Lane is a single mom leaning into art to share her story of trial, trauma, and triumph through creative expression. Taylor finds time to balance life as a new mom, working as a magazine editor and healing through art. Her painting style might be described as “controlled chaos”.
La Disco Vaquera is a celebration of San Antonio’s Vaquero culture. This cow depicts South Texas landscapes with sprouting Sotol plants, lit by a beautiful Texas sunset. Bright yellow and orange Prickly Pear cacti are in bloom along the rear of the cow. The cow’s head and neck are laced with traditional vaquero boot stitching. The saddle and horns are adorned with shining mirror tiles as a nod to San Antonio’s annual party, Fiesta.
