Condition: Good-Antique; wood stock has fair amount of wear & patina commensurate w/ age & use; cracking & splitting occurring at the butt of the stock; heavy wear in the wood under the saddle ring; bright nickel finish has moderate wear w/ scattered rust & pitting; case coloring on the lever is mostly faded w/ pitting; brass trigger guard, buttplate & patch-box have moderate wear & patina; bore retains some brightness but has some scattered rust & light pitting; strong rifling; mechanically very good
Includes: brass patch-box; 3-leaf rear sight; combustible paper or foil cartridge breech-loading; saddle ring & bar
Marked: lockplate & loading lever marked w/ "J.H. Merrill Balto" patent marks; serial number marked on lockplate behind hammer and rear of loading lever
