Arthur Hazard was an American landscape and portrait painter known for his refined technique and sensitive depictions of both people and nature. Most of his career was based in Boston, where he was active in the St. Botolph Club, the Copley Society, and the Boston Art Students Association. For health reasons, he relocated to Los Angeles in 1923, where he painted portraits of prominent residents and explored desert landscapes and floral studies.
