Tim Shinabarger is a renowned American sculptor known for his bronze wildlife sculptures. Though he earned a BA in business from Eastern Montana College, he gained an additional education from art workshops with prominent artists, independent study of masterworks, and firsthand experience in the wild. A former taxidermist, guide, and backcountry ranger, Shinabarger draws artistic inspiration from extensive wilderness expeditions across Alaska, Utah, and the Greater Yellowstone ecosystem, where he closely observes animals in their natural habitats. His work, deeply rooted in the traditions of artists like Carl Rungius and Belmore Brown, has earned prestigious recognition, including the James Earle Fraser Sculpture Award and inclusion in the National Museum of Wildlife Art’s permanent collection.
