Condition: Very Good-Antique; installed antique bone grips have wear & patina commensurate w/ age and have shrunk over time; barrel & ejector housing retain approx. 30-40% of bluing w/ gray/brown patina coming through; cylinder has a mostly gray/brown patina w/ hints of blue in protected areas; frame retains mostly strong case coloring w/ some slight loss & rust/pitting; hammer retains some case colors w/ patina & pitting; brass trigger guard & backstrap have significant wear & patina bore remains bright & shiny w/ some scattered pitting; strong rifling; mechanically excellent w/ smooth and well timed action; tight cylinder lock up
Includes: antique bone grips; cylinder has roll engraved naval scene (naval scene engraving is worn & shallow)
Marked: cylinder is marked w/ "US PATENT No. 89724"; trigger guard is marked w/ "36 CAL." on the left shoulder and "L" inspection stamp on left side behind trigger; left side of frame is marked w/ "PAT. JULY. 25, 1871. / PAT. July. 2, 1872." placed over a faded original "COLT'S / PATENT" stamp; barrel address reads "-ADDRESS COL. SAM
