Condition: Good-Antique; wood grips have wear & patina commensurate w/ age; barrel & ejector housing retain approx. 70% of bluing w/ gray/brown patina coming through; cylinder retains 40% bluing w/ gray patina & pitting; frame has fading case colors w/ gray patina; stronger colors remain in protected areas; hammer is mostly gray; brass trigger guard & backstrap have significant wear & patina; bore remains bright & shiny w/ scattered pitting; strong rifling; mechanically excellent w/ smooth and well timed action; tight cylinder lock up
Includes: cylinder has roll engraved naval scene (naval scene engraving is worn & faded); embossed leather holster
Marked: trigger guard is marked w/ "36 CAL." on the left shoulder and "P" inspection stamp in front of trigger; left side of frame is marked w/ "PAT. JULY. 25, 1871. / PAT. July. 2, 1872."; barrel address reads "-ADDRESS COL. SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA-" (very faded)
