Condition: Fair-good antique; wood stok has moderate wear w/ some repaired chips around the lock plate; barrel & lock plate have dark brown patina w/ scattered pitting; bore is pitted w/ worn rifling; mechanically functional 
Includes: half-stock w/ extensive German silver inlay & mounting; wooden ramrod; German silver patch box; set trigger
Marked: lock plate reads "W.Wells & BRo / MADISON IND"; top of barrel reads "W.JRA"
Note from owner: Kentucky percussion rifle .34 cal. with silver inlay circa 1850.

Provenance: Property from the personal estate collection of iconic Texas businessman, civic leader and philanthropist Billy Joe Red McCombs (1927-2023) from his home in Olmos Park, Texas; previously on long-term loan to either San Antonio Academy or the Bexar County Courthouse; this lot is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity as property from the McCombs personal estate
