Condition: Fair-antique; wood stock has fair amount of wear w/ some chipping around the butt and splitting around the forend & sideplate; barrel & lockplate have mostly brown patina w/ scattered rust & pitting; bore is dark & pitted; hammer (cock) does not lock back; nice patina on silver mounting
Includes: silver mounted sideplate & backstrap w/ nice motif; pearl inlay along the forend; iron ramrod; German silver barrel bands; striped maple stock
Marked: gold inlaid stamp on the top of the barrel in Arabic scirpt
Provenance: Property from the personal estate collection of iconic Texas businessman, civic leader and philanthropist Billy Joe Red McCombs (1927-2023) from his home in Olmos Park, Texas; previously on long-term loan to either San Antonio Academy or the Bexar County Courthouse; this lot is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity as property from the McCombs personal estate
