Condition: Good-antique; both wood stocks have moderate wear w/ dark patina; barrels have dark borwon patina; lockplates and mounting have gray/brown patina; light pitting throughout; bores are dark & pitted; both are mechanically functional
Includes: gold inlay crossed muskets emblem on barrels; silver round on backstraps; ramrods
-brass banded wood chest w/ foam liner; powder horn flask
Marked: lockplate appears to read "JN Brussetier / a Nantes" in cursive script
Provenance: Property from the personal estate collection of iconic Texas businessman, civic leader and philanthropist Billy Joe Red McCombs (1927-2023) from his home in Olmos Park, Texas; previously on long-term loan to either San Antonio Academy or the Bexar County Courthouse; this lot is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity as property from the McCombs personal estate
