1814 Holy Bible attributed to having belonged to the Sanders Family, headed by patriarch George N. Sanders (1812–1873), and supported of Confederate States of America, and whose son, Major Reid Sanders (1837–1864),served in the CSA; was captured and held as a prisoner of war at Fort Lafayette, and subsequently died at Fort Warren in 1864; George was believed by some to have a level of involvement in the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln
