Condition: Very good-antique; wood stock has moslty light wear for age; barrel & lockplate have gray bare metal w/ some light rust & pitting; brass shows nice aged patina; silver mountings are worn w/ nice patina; bore is dark w/ rust & pitting; mechanically good; tight cock pull
Includes: brass & silver mnountings; silver inlay on barrel; belt clip; ramrod; wood and glass display chest w/ Indian lock & key (foam fitting)
Marked: illegible stamp on the lcokplate under the lock spring; barrel proof appears to read crown / "JOAN / PRA"
Provenance: Property from the personal estate collection of iconic Texas businessman, civic leader and philanthropist Billy Joe Red McCombs (1927-2023) from his home in Olmos Park, Texas; previously on long-term loan to either San Antonio Academy or the Bexar County Courthouse; this lot is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity as property from the McCombs personal estate
