Condition: Fair-antique; wood stock & forend have heavy wear & dark patina; chipping around the buttplate; splitting on the wrist; barrel is dark brown w/ extensive rust & pitting; brass receiver has a nciue aged patina w/ nice wear; bore is dark & pitted throughout w/ worn rifling; mechanically functional; the lever loop is crushed a bit and does not reach the lever lock knob
Includes: 2-leaf rear sight; saddle ring
Marked: has "King's Patent" 2-line barrel address
Note from owner:  Winchester Model 1866 carbine called the "Yellow Boy" because of the brass frame. "The First Winchester," important weapon in the History of the American West.

Provenance: Property from the personal estate collection of iconic Texas businessman, civic leader and philanthropist Billy Joe Red McCombs (1927-2023) from his home in Olmos Park, Texas; previously on long-term loan to either San Antonio Academy or the Bexar County Courthouse; this lot is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity as property from the McCombs personal estate
