Superb collection of five Toledo "Blades of Conquest" from the 16th century. These artifacts are mounted on a carved wooden base of Germanic origin. The base was used for target practice with the cross bow. Weapons and base are believed to have been purchased at an auction held by the William Randolph Hearst Estate in the late 1930's at the New York Gimble's store.
