Condition: Good-Antique; wood stock & forend have fair amount of wear & patina; stock appears to have runny marks from a stain of sorts; barrel retains approx. 80% of blue finish w/ some brown patina & light scattered pitting; receiver has mostly gray patina w/ faint case colors & light rust; bore is mostly bright & shiny w/ light frosting & strong rifling; missing the hammer
Includes: saddle bar (no ring)
Marked: left side of barrel is marked "J.M M"; left side of receiver marked "MANUFACTURED BY / MASS.ARMS CO. / CHICOPEE FALLS" and "ADDRESS / POULTNEY & TRIMBLE / BALTIMORE U.S.A." and "SMITH'S PATENT. / JUNE 23, 1857"; left side of stock marked w/ 2 cartouches (1 is "JM" for James Mills and the other is "AJN" for Augustus J. Noble); "N: stamp on the buttplate tang & the trigger guard tang; receiver & barrel marked w/ matching SNs
