Michael Albrechtsen's vivid, atmospheric landscapes reflect his respect for the order, serenity, and inspirational power of nature. Albrechtsen credits Richard Schmid as one of his greatest influences, along with years of technical drafting in the engineering program at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah. In later years with his family's encouragement, Albrechtsen earned a Master of Fine Arts degree from Utah State University. A resulting precision, discipline, and softly diffused realist style can be seen in Albrechsten's paintings.
