A powerful portrait of a bighorn sheep, beautifully rendered and certain to appeal to big game enthusiasts
Kelly Singleton is a Colorado-based wildlife artist renowned for her evocative, highly detailed oil paintings that capture the spirit and beauty of the natural world. Raised in rural Maryland, she developed a profound connection to animals early in life. Singleton earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration from the Maryland Institute College of Art and spent more than two decades in graphic design before committing to fine art full-time in 2018.
Inspired by the landscapes and wildlife of the American West, Singleton frequently travels to parks and natural areas across the western United States to observe animals in their natural habitats and gather reference material. These experiences infuse her work with both authenticity and emotional depth.
A Signature Member of the Society of Animal Artists, Singleton has received numerous honors, including the prestigious Award of Excellence. Her work is included in the permanent collection of the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum and has been featured in prominent exhibitions such as Birds in Art, Western Visions, Art and the Animal, Small Works Great Wonders, and Night of Artists.
