Fritz White completed his first stone sculpture in 1962 and a decade later was elected to the Cowboy Artists of America. He strives to capture the spirit of the persevering American in his work, and his monumental sculpture, Out of the Mystic Past was the first outdoor sculpture installed at the Cowboy Artists of America Museum in Kerrville, Texas. In 1984, White helped found the Sculpture in the Park show in Loveland, Colorado along with other local sculptors, and the event grew to be one of the largest sculpture shows in the world.
