Condition: Fair-Good; installed grips have moderate wear & patina in the wood and the silver mounted has some tarnish from age; barrel & cylinder have faded bluing to a mostly gray/brown patina from heavy wear & use; protected areas retain nice blue finish; frame retains approx. 50% case colors w/ gray/brown patina from wear; backstrap & trigger guard have mostly plum brown patina w/ some blue remaining in protected areas; light rust scattered throughout; bore is very good & bright w/ strong rifling; mechanically excellent w/ smooth and well timed action; tight cylinder lock up
Notes: This revolver shows significant wear & patina, likely from personal use by Marshall Kuykendall while working the 101 Ranch, as evidenced by significant holster wear.
Includes: Colt Letter shipping it to J.F. Kreuz in Austin, Texas on October 24, 1957. Special ordered w/ backstrap engraved: "M.E. KUYKENDALL / OCTOBER 13, 1957"

-original hard rubber grips w/ matching SN (appears to have had some sort of medallion embedded on the left panel at one point, but is now missing; significant wear & patina from frequent wear/use, also slightly warped; includes screw)
-custom leather holster marked "D. KUYKENDALL / -MAKER- / SPICEWOOD, TX."
-silver star badge made from US Half Dollar coin mounted on holster (marked "STERLING") (total weight: 0.265ozt.)
