Condition: Good-Antique; wood stock & forend have moderate wear & patina; slight cracking on right side of forend in the checkering; barrel appears to have been reblued early on w/ most of that blue remaining w/ hint of brown/gray patina showing through and light spots of pitting; receiver has mostly gray patina w. some case colors remaining, especially on underside & lever; light scattered rust; bore retains some brightness, but is mostly fogged w/ scattered light pitting; rifling is worn, but good; mechanically very good
Includes: scroll engraving w/ game scenes on either side of receiver and accents on bottom & top sides; buckhorn rear sights w/ German silver front sight blade
-special order features: 24.5 in. octagonal barrel; half-length magazine tube; deluxe select walnut stock & forend w/ checkering
Note: The engraving appears to be in the style of Master engraver Conrad F. Ulrich, though unconfirmed. Ulrich famously engraved these Marlins with scrollwork around game scene panels. This one featuring a running buck on the left side & a standing doe on the right.
