Later, once back in San Antonio, she studied with Jose Arpa and Harry Anthony DeYoung. In 1955 she spent a summer studying at the Academie Julian in Paris, France. She exhibited at Allen Art Galleries with renowned artists, A.D. Greer, George Phippen, Frederic Remington, V.A. Richardson and Chauncey Foster Ryder. She is listed in many publications including "Fredericksburg, Texas: 150 Years of Paintings and Drawings" by Jack McGuire; "An Encyclopedia of Women Artists of the American West", 1998, UT Press; "Artists of Texas, 1800-1945" by Texas A & M University Press; and "Texas Painters, Sculptors & Graphic Artists" by John and Deborah Powers.
