Condition: Very Good-Nicely Refinished; hard rubber grips have light wear w/ brown patina; barrel, ejector rod housing, cylinder, front & backstraps; & trigger guard have been reblued; some wear on edges & rub areas; screws & trigger have a nitre-blue finish; nice case colors on hammer; some light pitting is visible under the blue refinish; some pitting on the recoil shield by the loading gate; bore is good & bright w/ strong rifling w/ light fouling in the grooves; mechanically very good; 4 distinct clicks; cylinder lock-up is tight
Includes: Factory Colt letter stating that the revolver was sold to the Shelton-Payne Arms Company in El Paso, Texas and shipped to Simmons Hardware Company in St. Louis, Missouri on July 8, 1902. It was the only gun in the shipment.
