Condition: Fair-Antique; wood stock & forend have heavy wear & dark patina w/ splitting in both the stock & forend; barrel & receiver have dark brown patina w/ thick grease residue throughout; markings have been buffed to be legible; scattered rust & pitting; bore is frosted w/ scattered pitting & worn, but good rifling; mechanically good
Includes: 3-barrel band musket stock; carbine butt; saddle ring & bar; has tube magazine in butt compartment
Marked: top of the receiver address reads "SPENCER REPEATING / RIFLE CO.BOSTON MASS. / PAT'D. MARCHÂ 6, 1860."; receiver marked "5583" behind breech; left barrel flat marked w/ inspector initials "S.L." for Samuel Leonard (1862-1875)
