Condition: Good Antique-refinished; newer wood grips have light handling marks; barrel, cylinder & trigger guard/backstrap have been reblued w/ some pitting/ rust present underneath; moderate handling marks; frame has fading case colors w/ some light pitting visible; bore has darkened from pitting w/ worn rifling; needs mechanical work; hammer pull is clunky & improperly timed; cylinder lock up is good & tight; roll markings are shallow from refinish
Includes: Colt Letter shipping it to U.S. Government inspector on January 7, 1885. Parts are mixed w/ no matching SNs
Marked: frame is marked "U.S." on left side; "D.F.C." inspector marked above SN on frame; "G" marked under SN on backstrap
