Marked: right side receiver is marked w/ "C. SHARPS PAT. / OCT. 5TH 1852." and "R.S. LAWRENCE PAT. / APRIL 12TH 1859."; left side receiver is marked "C. SHARPS PAT. / SEPT.12TH 1848"; left side of stock is marked w/ "DFC" cartouche
Note: (parts gun condition) Included with this lot is a Sharps Model 1852 percussion slant breech carbine in poor shape; missing the forend, hammer, and lever lock; stock has heavy damage & missing pieces; buttplate is loose; dark brown patina throughout; bore is dark & pitted; saddle bar is broken
