Condition: Good-Antique; wood stock & forend have moderate wear & patina commensurate w/ age; some chipping at the toe & a crack coming off of the tang at the wrist of the stock; barrel has brown patina over the blue finish w/ light rust; magazine tube & receiver have approx. 80% nickel finish remaining w/ some flaking & rust underneath; bore is fogged w/ light pitting; worn, but remaining rifling; mechanically excellent
Includes: Cody Firearms Museum Records Office form listing it as shipped on April 16, 1880 in Order # 19913. The form does not list whether the nickel is original, but it does appear to be early.

Marked: "G.L. HUBBARD" on the bottom of the brass carrier block. No solid history can be identified for the name on the rifle, although, Harold Wieser (former owner), operator of Collecting Texas, believed him to be a former Coos County, NH Sheriff.
