Note: This Civil War Colt 1860 Army revolver is noted as being recovered in the 1990s at a house demolition, adjacent to the Battle of New Bern, North Carolina site. The battle took place on March 14, 1862, and was a victory for the Union under General Ambrose Burnside.
The revolver is mounted on a board with a lithograph backing of a news clipping from Harper's Weekly, depicting the Battle of New Bern. At the bottom of the board is a mounted plaque stating this history.
