Condition: Good-Antique; stag grips have light wear w/ a nice patina from age; barrel, frame & cylinder have a mostly gray/brown patina w/ some blue finish remaining in protected areas & crevices; light scattered pitting; ejector rod housing retains some bluing on underside; bore has scattered pitting w/ fair rifling; mechanically excellent w/ tight cylinder lock-up; well-timed action
Includes: Factory letter listing this revolver as shipped on March 15, 1892, to E.C. Meacham Arms Co. in St. Louis, MO as part of a 25-gun shipment. (letter has fold marks)
Marked: barrel reads "FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER" on left side, as is standard for 44-40 models
Provenance: A Dripping Springs, Texas Estate.
